Account Deletion: What You Need to Know

Delete My Account – COZULO

Overview

You can permanently delete your COZULO account and associated personal data at any time. This page lets you request deletion even if you can’t access the app (required for Android/Google Play compliance).

  • Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone once completed.

  • Some limited data may be retained for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, or compliance reasons (details below).

  • If you have an active subscription, deleting your account does not cancel billing. See “Subscriptions & Billing” below.

Option A — Delete from the COZULO app (recommended)

  1. Open COZULO > Profile (top right).

  2. Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account.

  3. Read the summary, then tap Continue.

  4. For security, complete verification (enter one-time code sent by SMS/email).

  5. Type DELETE to confirm and tap Permanently Delete.

You’ll receive a confirmation email when your request is received.

Option B — Delete without the app (web request)

Use this option if you don’t have your device or can’t log in.

How it works

  • Submit the form.

  • We’ll notify you by email when deletion is complete.

What will be deleted

Unless we must retain specific items for legal or safety reasons, we will delete:

  • Your profile (name/alias, email, phone), login credentials, and device tokens

  • Direct messages, comments, saved items, and app preferences

  • Location history saved by your account

  • Incident posts and media or we will anonymize them so they no longer identify you (see below)

Safety & community records

Because COZULO helps people report incidents for community safety, we may retain reports in anonymized form (no personal identifiers) to preserve the integrity of safety data, comply with law-enforcement requests, or meet legal obligations.

What we may retain (and why)

We may keep limited information when required by law or for legitimate interests such as:

  • Fraud prevention & abuse mitigation: security logs, ban records

  • Legal compliance: records needed for law enforcement, safety requests, or court orders

  • Financial/tax records: transaction records if you made purchases

  • Backups: encrypted backups are purged on a rolling schedule (see timeline)

Retained data is restricted, minimized, and access-controlled.

Timeline

  • Immediately: Your account is locked and no longer accessible.

Can I reverse the request?

Once completed, deletion is irreversible.

Data export (optional)

If you’d like a copy of your data before deletion, email support@cozulo.com (Subject: COZULO Data Export). Export availability depends on your activity and local laws.

Children’s accounts & guardians

If you are a parent/guardian requesting deletion for a minor’s account, contact support@cozulo.com with proof of guardianship. We will guide you through verification.
